Welcome to Alfred and Dawn Motsinger's NC Choose and Cut Christmas tree farm, also known as Pine Shadows Farm. Our family has grown Christmas trees for over 40 years, specializing in choose and cut for the last 20 years! We have a great inventory for the 2011 Christmas tree season - over 3,000 6' to 9 1/2'+ trees available to choose from, including Fraser fir, Canaan fir, the Russian exotic Nordmann fir, Colorado spruce and Serbian spruce.

Come visit us in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains, near Winston-Salem (only 1 hour) and near Charlotte (90 minutes). We are less than 5 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway. This is how it works - Choose your favorite Christmas tree from the field. We will tag the tree with your name, cut the tree and bale (wrap) the tree for you. Some trees, too large to bale, will probably need an open bed pick-up truck or trailer to transport back home.

We have fresh wreaths, garland, tree stands, tree trimmings, beautiful functional and sculptural pottery by Robin and Daniel Cater on weekends, and of course, everybody's favorite, complimentary hot spiced cider!
